  • Overview

    Under general supervision, the Packaging Shipping Clerk or Coordinator verifies, documents and transfers received materials to inventory and assemble and package customer orders for shipping and then initiate the shipment of individual product orders using a Fed-Ex or UPS shipping system.  This individual will also create shipping labels and ensure address labels are correct by verifying against order ticket and Bills of Lading (BOL) and track activity using Excel software.  Position work hours are 11AM to 7:30PM with flexibility. 

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilites and Duties:

    • Responsible for receiving, recording, routing, shipping and tracking various types of material.
    • Ship individual product orders using a Fed-Ex or UPS shipping system
    • Ensures address labels are correct by verifying against pick ticket
    • Ensures Bills of Lading (BOL) are completed correctly
    • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in totes and on pallets or shelves, conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
    • Physically transfers materials to assembly work station, maintains bench stock and handles completed assemblies.
    • Stock and maintains shipping area with supplies and equipment

    Qualifications

    Education/ Work Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2 year degree preferred.  
    • Familiar with internal inventory of materials and shipping processes.
    • Experience using MS Office, Excel speadsheet and Warehouse inventory software. 
    • Minimum 1 year of experience creating shipments with UPS and FedEx shipping systems. 
    • 2 years’ experience in a Related Materials Environment.
